Privacy

Your scores stay on this device.

The short version

There are no accounts and no sign-up.
This version of the site has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it sets no cookies.
Your scores, streaks and settings are saved in this browser's local storage, on this device. The games don't send them anywhere.
The one request to another company is for our fonts, from Google Fonts. More on that below.

What's saved, and where

Local storage is a small notebook your browser keeps for each website. Only this site can read its page, and only on this device. We use it for:

your best scores, and today's best in each Daily;
which Dailies you've finished, and your streaks;
a game in progress, so you can pick up where you left off;
your settings: sound on or off, and light or dark theme;
small notes such as "has seen the first-move demo", so it doesn't keep repeating.

None of it is your name, email or location. Another phone, browser or private window starts fresh.

The exact list of saved items

These are the names of the items in this site's local storage. A * stands for a date, a level or a mode. Clear my scores removes everything here except ff.sound and ff.theme.

How to clear it

On the About page, tap Clear my scores. That removes every score, streak and saved game, and keeps your sound and theme settings.

To remove everything, clear this site's data in your browser's settings. A private or incognito window forgets it all when you close it.

Fonts from Google

Our two fonts, Figtree and Lilita One, load from Google Fonts. To fetch them, your browser contacts Google's servers, which receive your IP address and basic browser details, as with any web request. We don't send Google anything about your games or scores. If the fonts can't load, the games still work in your device's own fonts.

Google explains what it does with that data in its privacy policy.

If this changes

If we ever add something that collects data, such as analytics or ads, we'll update this page first and say plainly what it does.
